Coproduction

The Coproduction by ARENA… of the young arts is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2011.

The Coproduction is about realizing a completely new project by young professional artists and students from Erlangen, with both sides benefiting from it.

Over the course of one year ARENA… and a group of artists, who performed at the previous ARENA... festival, are developing a complete new production which will be presented at the festival.

The Coproduction 2011 has planned a seminar, collaborating with the Friedrich-Alexander-University. The seminar will be dealing with practical considerations and exercises on the subject of the performance.

In addition to the artist’s performance at the 2011 ARENA… festival, there are possible video- and soundinstallations and also activistic interventions planned.

For the participating students this provides the opportunity to occupy themselves in transnational projects on a professional level, while the involved artists find a platform for international exchange and are able to carry out a project without the connection to the institutionalized theatres.
